Wondering Reindeer is Sami reindeer experience company ho is offering guests authentic Sami adventures.
We offer guests a small group tour (16pers) around Kvaløya island with majestic mountains and arctic fjords. During the trip around the island, guests will join Sami reindeer herder and his reindeers which are living in wildness close to Sommarøy, guests will enjoy reindeer herder calls for his reindeers who are living in free natural habitat.
When the herd is gathered, there will be an opportunity to feed the animals by hand. Guests will also be gathering in traditional Sami lavvo (Sami tent) around open bonfire to enjoy Joik (traditional Sami songs) and learn more about Sami traditions.
During the roundtrip we will visit Sommarøy Arctic Hotel for lunch/meal made of local ingredients. Sommrøy is a fantastic place and a group of islands in the open sea 1,5 hours driving from Tromsø. Guests will have time to explore Sommrøy by walking around before we leave the fishing community.

2 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeStarts with buss tour on Kvaløya which is an island surrounded by majestic mountains and Arctic fjords. You will enjoy the view of the landscape along the coastal road while we drive. We stop at some suitable places to admire the landscapes we pass.Brensholmen

2 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeWe will visit Sommarøy, which are a group of islands in the open sea with blue water and white sandy beaches. There will be some time to explore the local community by walking in the area by yourself. Lunch will be served at Sommarøy Arctic Hotel at approx. 12:30PM (12.30). Guests can choose one dish each from the restaurant menu. Some options are fish soup with bread made from local ingredients, burgers, salad, and many other options. There are also options like vegetarian and gluten-free. Remember to point out special wishes when you book the tour. Sometime the restaurant serves large lunch buffet, and if so, that will be served instead of food from menu.Tromso Fjords(Melintasi)
Admission Ticket FreeAfter enjoying the Sommarøy with food, coffee, and tea, it is time to head back to Tromsø and reflect on a memorable experience. We arrive at Scandic Ishavshotel Tromsø about 4:00 pm (16:00)
