10 minsAdmission Ticket FreeThis plaza is a great place to relax on the banks of the River Aare. We can stop by for refreshments, or watch the surfers in the water (Thun is one of the few places in Europe where it is possible to surf).Obere Hauptgasse
10 minsAdmission Ticket FreeWe'll wander the historical old town, including the Obere Hauptgasse with its raised pavements and beautiful shops.Rathausplatz
10 minsAdmission Ticket FreeThe old town hall is the heart of Thun’s historical centre. We'll be taking photos of the plaza, as well as the castle and church (there's a nice view from here).Schloss Thun
15 minsAdmission Ticket Not IncludedWe'll be climbing up to Thun Castle, and taking photos of the beautiful city panorama from the shadow of this medieval fortress. (If we have group members with special mobility needs, we will take the elevator instead of the stairs).Stadtkirche Thun

40 minsAdmission Ticket FreeWill stroll along the river on the Brahms-Quai, admiring Castle Schadau across the river. Depending on the time, we might also see the ferry pass us by.Scherzligschleuse
5 minsAdmission Ticket FreeWe will return to the train station via Scherzligschleuse. This is one of the old wooden bridges that houses the sluice gates for the river. Here you can practice low-light photography and produce images with a darker look.Thun
