    Paul Kruger's house at no 60 Nkomo Street formerly known as Church Str. house with a galvanized Tin roof and a veranda is a museum containing the old original fitting furniture used by the Kruger family. The house is directly opposite the Gereformeerde kerk, the Church the Oom Paul and his wife used to attend on sunday's and he would give a word or two if he was needed even though he was never a preacher. On the entrance just by the Varender get welcomed by the two marble lion donated by the friend of the Krugers, Barney Barnato.

George Heys the man of many mysteries, during the war the house was requisitioned by the British as the imperial headquarters in South Africa and it was turned into the residential of lord Roberts, the commander in Chief of the British forces.
