Highlights

This experience is focused on art (visual and sonic), as well as spirituality.

Mahen, despite having devoted 30 years of painting Lord Ganesh, is not a devotee in the religious sense, but he has indeed a very strong spiritual connection with him/her (you'll understand that statement during the visit ;)
Mahen has also a great knowledge of the symbolism and iconography behind the story of Lord Ganesh, as he started his single-object portraying as a study (relating to it the oldest brand strategy guidelines, which is Mahen's official job).

Rachel has a similar approach to sound and music;
a very intuitve and spiritually connected experience, which is meant to bring deep relaxation as well as transformation (by using both calming and activating healing instruments). She has been providing sound baths for almost 10 years now.

Itinerary

  • Ganeshism Studio Gallery

    3 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    We will meet at the gallery in Nawala (pinned in Google maps). You will first visit the gallery and the studio. Mahen (the artist) will guide you while explaining the meaning of his work (hint: spiritual, NOT-religious), why he is devoted to painting Lord Ganesh for the past 30 years, which techniques and materials he uses, etc. Then, Rachel (Mahen's wife) will take you up in the covered roof top for a sound healing / gong bath session, coupled with a little yoga and breathwork if you're up for it. After this, you'll have a free conversation with the family (including Manu, their son, 12 years old) while enjoying drinks and snacks. Ask any question you want, share any feedback you have, guide the discussion anywhere you want to ;) Last, we'll enjoy a home-made traditional rice&curry dinner, with the level of chili that you can tolerate (pls inform prior). And then, it will be time for you to go back to your adventures with a little surprise from us :)
