You can also meet the craftsmen who keep up the traditions of the old maritime trades, and you can try your hand with axes, ropes and many other activities. The permanent exhibitions are focused on the five Skuldelev Ships. The goal of these exhibits is to tell the story of these ships and of the many Nordic maritime adventures during the Viking Age. The five original Viking ships stand majestically with the Roskilde Fjord as a living backdrop. With this view, it becomes easy to imagine how the merchant set off for distant shores with his goods, the warriors waved goodbye to their families before the voyage and the fisherman embarked on the fjord with the hope of returning with a good catch.

Had 15% off. Good deal if you’re going to a few places or even further out of Copenhagen. We went to Kronborg castle, return train ticket was $30, entrance fee was $30. Next day we bought the Copenhagen card & started our day at 11am, went to 6 places of attraction which ranges from $27.80-$40. Following day we took a train to Sweden at about 9.30am, the trip there was free as it is within 24hrs, trip back we paid about $15 per pax. So all in all, very good deal to get 48hrs (cos $50 more for another day, you get unlimited transport and attractions). But be prepared to be tired by the end of the day.
