  • Mutianyu Great Wall Travel Area

    Depart from your Beijing hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle at 8:30am and relax during the scenic drive to the Mutianyu section. It takes about 1.5 hours driving from downtown to Mutianyu Great Wall. The professional tour guide will give you an explication of the Great Wall and the related Chinese history and culture on the way. Mutianyu Great Wall is located 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Beijing. As one of the famous and best preserved sections of the Great Wall,it was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi, which is much earlier than the Badaling section. It is connected with Jiankou in the west and Jinshanling in the east.There are 23 towers on the Mutianyu Great Wall snaking the ridge for about 3000 meters.the Mutianyu Great Wall is also famous for the breath-taking beautiful scenery. The woods cover over ninety-six percent of the total scenic area.  At Mutianyu section,one is by using the cable car round trip, the second is a chair lift up and toboggan down(second is more fun).You will spend 2 hours hiking on the Wall.
