From
The Dão Demarcated Region can be defined as a plateau surrounded by several mountains with vines planted between 400 and 700 meters of altitude, with unique conditions of soil, climate and grape varieties that translate into great wines.
The Dão region is known as the Portuguese Burgundy, presenting velvety and full-bodied wines, with exceptional acidity, red wines have great aging potential. White wines, on the other hand, have fruity aromas and are extremely fresh.
On this tour we invite you to visit one of the oldest and most emblematic wineries in the region. We taste their wines, stroll around the vineyards that tell 200 years of history and head for lunch, where we will taste one of the typical dishes of the region, the veal à Dão Lafões or the oven-roasted cabrito (lamb).
After the repast, we continued to visit the region and, in contrast to the morning visit, the next cellar is a symbol of modernity, whether in terms of the building, equipment or production methods.
