Gaharu Tea Valley is an agarwood plantation just outside Gopeng, Perak and has
become a growing agro-tourism destination. The Great Wall of Gopeng at Gaharu
Tea Valley is another major attraction. This well-protected fortress
resembling the Great Wall of China is 3 metres high and 6 feet wide. It was
built to built to keep plantation safe from any possible intrusions especially
from wild animals, and at the same time allow visitors to take pictures and
enjoy great views from the wall.
Located at the highest point of Gaharu Tea Valley, Gopeng, this hilltop point
enables visitors to enjoy the lush picturesque view of Gaharu trees in the
plantation as well as the beautiful hilly region in Gopeng belonging to the
Titiwangsa range.
An intertwining pair of century-old trees grow together in the plantation and
embraces each other like lovers. As the branches are connected together and
inseparable, the locals named them “Lover Trees”. This is a place to fall in
love again.
Have a serene nature walk between the nicely planted gaharu trees while you
breathe in the most refreshing healthy negative ions. Science has proven the
healing powers of hugging a tree and here we encourage you to take as much
time to just destress by hugging any trees you like, including the painted
animal themed trees. Don’t forget to feed the fish and the rare tortoises
living here too.
