On time. Organized tour
Booked this package about 2mths ago. Was expecting a smaller group but ended up, it was quite a large group and I was hoping to be grouped in smaller group (example, 8pax) as recommended by many of my friends. I also booked a package with Chinese speaking tour guide because my mother does not understand English. Ended up, I have a China tour guide who wasn’t fluent in her English. The couple from Australia does not understand what the guide was saying and returned later. My package doesn’t include lunch but the tour guide brought us to a restaurant and informed us that we will be having lunch at the restaurant without giving us a choice. I felt scammed for awhile as each pax for lunch was 1,500yen. If we were given a choice, definitely not taking this offer. As it was my family first trip to Mt Fuji, we didn’t make a fuss. We wanted to enjoy it our own way. Managed to see Mt Fuji from afar and also the lake kawaguchiko. A lot of time was spent waiting. Basically the tour guide just sent us to the location, tell us what time to meet and she went back to van and take a nap. It isn’t like what my friends has recommended to me. If you are someone who needed a transport to such places because of elderly or didn’t wanna drive on your own or take the local, then you can consider this package. Otherwise, free and easy is fine. Spoke to a couple from UK and they did free and easy. It is not that difficult to navigate on your own.
The tour tended to take too long in some places. A more focused approach would have been better.
