Embark on an all-inclusive tour of the breathtaking Nusa Penida, featuring crystal-clear turquoise waters, sun-drenched beaches, and essential photo opportunities. Snorkel in the stunning Manta Bay, bask in the sun at Angel Billabong and Broken Beach, and indulge in a delectable buffet lunch onboard the boat. Capture the iconic T. rex shaped island from the cliffs at Kelinking Beach. Nusa Penida, unlike the more developed Gili Islands, remains rugged, tranquil, and largely inaccessible due to its imposing cliffs and rocky paths. Steeped in myths and legends, this trip offers a hassle-free round-trip transfer from most areas of Bali, ensuring a seamless journey to this majestic island.
Speed over to the south coast of Nusa Penida and marvel at the tropical fish in Manta Bay. For those who prefer relaxation, the beach offers panoramic views of forested hills and shimmering blue waters. Next, savor refreshments at Crystal Bay before joining a private tour guide to ascend the incredible 300-foot cliffs of Kelinking Beach. While the steep steps down to the beach are challenging, the breathtaking views from the top are unparalleled. Continue the adventure with a leisurely walk between the natural infinity pools of Angel Billabong and the unique limestone formations surrounding Broken Beach. Conclude the day with a hearty buffet lunch on the boat, floating over the Ceningan Channel. The final stop is Bali Hai's Beach Club in Mushroom Bay, where you can unwind with a refreshing drink before heading home. The tour includes a snack box, mineral water, lunch, snorkeling gear, towel, and a knowledgeable tour guide.

The staff was what made this an amazing g experience. So kind and helpful. Really the best in all of the world!
In terms of logistics and organisation, the adventure cruise organisation by Bali Hai Cruise was impeccable. The pick up was at 0730 and we were back in our Hotel in Kuta before 1800. The itinerary was not well outlined on the Pelago site, or the vouchers/emails received after booking. Even the Bali Hai website provides little details - https://balihaicruises.com/day-trip/nusa-penida-adventure-cruise/. So there was a bit of 'hope and pray' involved. In summary, the itinerary (probably subject to weather conditions) is as follows: 0730 Pick up from Hotel to Bali Hai Cruise Terminal Waiting Area 0830 'Ocean Rafting' Cruise departs aboard the 24-seater. (This is a comfy no-frills speed raft) ~0930 Approaching Nusa Penida - beautiful views of the Broken Beach, Manta Bay and island cliffs from the sea (feed the cameras first) ~0945 Stop over at Crystal Bay for snorkeling. The waters were crystal clear (and salty of course!). Even if you are not a great swimmer, the staff will drop bread crumbs in the sea to attract the fish, so that you can pretty much 'snorkel on the spot' to see the beautiful coral fishes. End the swim with a chicken sandwich snack break. ~ 1030 Land on Crystal Bay to commence on-island tour. It starts with a 40-minutes 4WD journey to Kelingking Beach. Be warned, the road are in fairly horrendous conditions. Very narrow, and littered with deep potholes. ~1115 Kelingking Beach - great views of the beach and peninsula for instagram photos. There isn't time for a very steep walk down to the beach itself, but I do see many others trekking down. We probably stayed for 30 minutes here. ~ 1200 Arrive Broken Beach & Angel Billabong. Took approx 20 minutes ride (10 minutes of rocky gravel road) to reach from Kelingking to reach. More pretty Instagram pics followed by a snack break (chicken sandwich by the operators) ~ 1315 Back to Crystal Bay after another 25 minutes rocky ride (the bulk of this journey had better road conditions). ~ 1345 Arrival via a 20 min Ocean Rafting ride to Nusa Lembong Hai Beach Club (Mushroom Beach) for buffet lunch with free flow of coffee and tea. The rest of the afternoon is spent on the beach, where all the facilities can be used for free e.g., kayaking, snorkeling, swimming pool, beach chairs etc. ~1630 Depart Nusa Lembongan back to Bali Island ~ 1715 Arrival at Bali Hai Cruise Terminal Overall, we enjoyed the very relaxing trip. The food, especially lunch was surprising good - with chicken satays and seafood skewers. The staff kept us fed with sandwiches and fruit skewers along the way. Bali hospitality was at its best here. However, it is a long day with a bit of hassle just getting to the Instagram spots. The 2 of us volunteered for the back seats of the 6-seater 4WD island transport. The leg room was barely enough, coupled with the rocky roads, it's the recipe for motion sickness (we didn't). It didn't help that the air-conditioning controls were by those who sat in the more comfy middle row - in the heat of the afternoon, they'll naturally direct the air vents towards themselves (instead of those sitting behind them). The beach club stop was nice, but it's little different from what you can get on Bali island, perhaps with lesser crowd. One word of warning - don't pick this if you get sea sick or car motion sickness easily. There was a guest that had to pretty much skip the land tour after arrival on Nusa Penida. Would I go again? Unlikely. Would I have picked this trip on hindsight? Just about, yes. For the one-time experience. This tour option from Bali Hai is more expensive than some of the other tour operators to Nusa Penida. It is unclear 'why' from all the itinerary write ups (they all sound the same). I'll hazard to guess that it's more expensive because: 1. You spend a bit more time travelling to different parts of the island via boat (more comfy), instead of via land transport. i.e., other tours spend more time driving on rocky roads to reach different spots on the island. 2. You get an afternoon at the Nusa Lembongan Beach Club 3. Presumably, you get better quality of food and service with Bali Hai. Good luck and have fun!!
