Middlehurst Station

Departing from Kaikōura which has been described as a “Marine Serengeti” by
the NationalGeographic Magazine, you will climb high on your scenic flight
through the peaks of the Seaward and Inland Kaikōura ranges and across the
vast Clarence

river valley to Middlehurst Station. Middlehurst is nestled under the peak of
Tapuae-o-uenuku and owned by the Macdonald family, it is home to 11,000

Merino sheep and 1,200 Angus cattle which are farmed in a sustainable manner
ensuring the high-country traditions are maintained and passed onto the

next generation.

During your time on the farm you will be given an insightful tour of the
property by Willie or Sue and shown some of the farming practises which sets
this

farming family apart which is then followed by a lunch with produce sourced
locally.
