Ride a minibus to Living Legends – home to some of Australia's favourite retired champion racehorses, like Fields of Omagh, Silent Witness, Better Loosen Up, Rogan Josh, Paris Lane, Who Shot the Batman (NZ), Redkirk Warrior (GB) and Peniaphobia (IRE), Fawkner and Almandin.
Enjoy the opportunity to meet, pat, and feed the horses and talk to the stable hands that care for them. Part of Woodlands Park, Living Legends is modelled closely on the Home of Rest for Horses in the UK. They aim to support equine research, education and training to benefit horses of all ages and breeds. Special emphasis is given to the care of older horses.
Relax in the beautiful historic homestead of Woodlands Historic Park with a light lunch. Take some time to explore the onsite museum before travelling back to your cruise ship or hotel.
