They keep the baby turtles for a couple of days before being released back to the ocean. The facility also houses the injured turtles until they are well again (injuries caused by fishing nets, predators etc) and makes a home for the deformed and permanently injured turtles. We were allowed to hold a baby turtle and see an albino turtle.
