We can recommend a great day route that takes you from our store on the

the best views you'll find. You'll have time to visit some Wellington

Weta Workshop- your eBikes will become your mode of transport as well as your

Arriving from a Cruise Ship
The
easiest way to find us to take the free Cruise Ship Shuttle and get off
at the North Lambton Quay Stop. We're about a 10 minute walk from
there.
Exit
your shuttle and walk down Whitmore Street. Stick to the sidewalk and
until you reach the water's edge and turn right. Stroll along our
beautiful waterfront for 5 minutes keeping the water's edge on your
left. Soon you'll come to our sign on the waterfront path and you'll see our
store.
Our bikes are suitable for riders from 145cm (4'8) tall. We have a variety of
bikes to suit your preference. You will be provided with riding instructions,
a helmet, a lock and a cycle map of the city, including our top picks of
places to stop on your ride. We have a large car-free space to get your riding
practice in and provide a full briefing of how the bikes work- they're easy!
Check out some route suggestions below.
Ride the Wellington harbor coast and the gorgeous hills of Miramar. Visit one
of our city’s favorite cafes in an outstanding nature-surrounded location.
Then experience the freedom of eBikes on the way up to the lookout, for one of
the most outstanding views of our city's unique geography.
Who : Those wanting to try some hills (great on eBikes!) and to catch
some outstanding views.
Time : 3-4 hours
What to Bring : Water bottle, sunscreen, extra layer of clothing.
Distance : 30km
Difficulty : Road riding on quiet streets and some decent climbing.
Things to Know : The route includes shared pedestrian pathways, on-road
cycleways, and quiet low-speed roads.
Or go even further : Carry on around the south coast of Wellington along
more beautiful coastal road. Spend time at Weta Cave checking out Wellington’s
movie industry, take in some of the craft breweries in that part of town, or
find the seals at the rugged and remote Red Rocks beach. We provide a map in-
store.
Get remote on this gorgeous coastal trail just a short ferry ride from our
shop, via a beautiful seaside village.
Where : Ferry across the harbor from right next to our shop, ride down
the coast on easy roads and seaside trail.
Time : 2-4 hours of riding time depending on how much you explore. Allow
a whole day including ferry rides, exploring and cafe stops!
Who : Riders looking for an accessible out of town bike adventure.
Difficulty : Easy road riding, cars present but no busy intersections.
Flat and wide gravel road with loose gravel, some potholes. Option to continue
on rougher surfaces and/or grade 3 mountain biking beyond the lighthouse.
Exposed to the wind – eBike will help a lot!
Features : Great easy off-road riding. Remote feeling location right next
to the city. Wonderful views of Wellington, the harbor, the heads and the
south island Kaikoura ranges. Aotearoa/New Zealand’s oldest lighthouse.
We provide full instructions and a safety briefing before you ride,
helmet, lock, cycle map and tips on where to ride. We've got high-vis too,
just ask at the counter.
Please remember Credit Card & ID as bond, water bottle & sun screen
We recommend bringing an extra warm layer as the bays can be windy and
wearing bright clothes will keep you seen by others on the road. It's good to
avoid loose fitting clothing and extra-long jackets as these don't mix well
with the moving parts of bikes!
Please bring a sense of adventure!
