Cinque Terre is a region in Italy that consists in five coastal villages: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare. The area is known for its rugged coastline and the beautiful terraced vineyards that line it.
Cinque Terre has been populated since prehistoric times. The first settlements were on high ground like Monterosso and Vernazza.
The villages that make up Cinque Terre are all linked by footpaths called "Via dei Sentieri." There are two main paths: one from Monterosso to Riomaggiore and another one from Manarola to Corniglia.
Your private driver will take you to Manarola where you will meet your private guide. Once there, you will need to buy the Cinque Terre train card (the cost if around 16 euros per person) so you can move between the towns.
