Had a great time during my trip with my guide (Sham) and driver (Sigit). Everything went smoothly and well. Enjoyed myself. The weather is perfect (did they went to pray or do something about it? =P)
Our tour guide was Amar and the driver was Sigit. Honestly I did not expect it will be the same person who's gonna guide and drive us for the whole three days as this is our first time taking 3D2N tour but I'm glad that was the arrangement. We had grown comfortable with them and really appreciate all the things they did for us. Amar was very informative and very helpful too while being well mannered is a bonus. I like it that he gave us heads up every now and then to preempt us. The driver Sigit was kinda shy but friendly too. There was a slight hiccup but we both do understand that it was beyond their control but hey, we are not the type that make a big hoohaa on that. We might come again on different month for the Mount Bromo as I was a little bit sad that I couldn't get those clear picture of the mountain as per what we saw online coz of the mist. Nonetheless, we did managed to snap a couple of pretty pictures despite of the mist. Ijen Crater was also worth going to although I must say the hike was cray for me, guess I need to really train more if I want to hike other mountain in other different countries. Haha. My spouse love the mountains prolly why I always included hiking in our itinerary. Anyway, the hikes on the stones was very challenging for a timid person like me and I was out of breathe umpteen times and even thought I am crazy for doing what I was doing that time. Haha. But no matter what, it was all worth it when we managed to snap pretty pictures as memories along the way. Being able to finish what you started was a very rewarding feeling for sure. Overall, we had great time really. We are just fortunate to get a guide who is well converse in English and don't get me wrong, I think our Bahasa Indonesia wasn't that bad either (thankful that we do have lotsa Indon relatives) but the fact that he speaks our daily language makes it all way easier for us to communicate. We are appreciated and very pleased with the service rendered by both Amar and Sigit. Thank you guys and this trip is highly recommended!
From beginning to end (actually, we didn’t really want to end), it was an unforgettable tour of Surabaya’s natural wonders with excellent local guide, Ms Putri. Dynamic, attentive and friendly, she & team made this action-packed itinerary run like clockwork and enjoyable despite it being physically strenuous. Enjoyed the chats and connections. Highly recommended for time-strapped visitors.
Huge compliments to our guide Rai(han) who was extremely helpful and friendly on our entire trip. Just our luck that the waterfall was closed due to a landslide, and also being unable to continue on to Mt Ijen due to illness which made Mt Bromo difficult as well. But our guide was very helpful and even brought us to the clinic to get seen by doctor. We managed to get the best view of Mt Bromo and the other mountains from a viewpoint that seemed a little unexpectedly treacherous which was scary at the time. But I'm glad that our guide made sure we were safe and we ended up with great photos. The company Cheap Bromo gave good instructions and made changes to our itinerary promptly when required especially when Mt Ijen had an unexpected government closure. Very on time for pickup and drop off and so no complaints about the tour! Lava View hotel at Mt Bromo was very much like a homestay, do not expect to be too comfortable there. Bathroom is pretty old. Amenities were sufficient and at least the heaters were working. Thank you to the helpful team once again.
Tour guide Trista was amazing. Speaks really good English. Really helpful as well. However, first accommodation was a bit scary to me. Also, the itinerary stated there will be meals provided for breakfast and lunch. But when we arrived, it was almost noon, there was no meal given. But they brought us somewhere to get something to eat instead. Overall, really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend it.
The guide Putri is fantastic. I informed CheapBromo on the change of flight as Jetstar was cancelled and we booked SQ instead 1 week before the trip. They acknowledged. However, when the guide texted me at 950am and said she will pick us up at 1230pm and I was on the plane told her that we are about to land at 10am. Thanks to wifi on board, Putri quickly arrange for us to be picked up from the airport on time. Hotel at Bromo could be improved. The water heater broken down when I was showering half way with soap and shampoo on me and I was freezing. room facilities is basic but it will be nice if they could improve on the cleanliness. Room in Kawa Ijen is better but aircon is not working and it is really hot.
