Since the 10th of September 2023 access has been banned to the Benagil cave for swimmers. Vagabundo Travel don’t like fun police, swimming was great for 7 years, but we now have 2 x 2-seat kayaks and can once again get you into the majestic cave. It’s a simple kayak into the cave and we give you more time to enjoy than other tour operators. Swim and Chill is back for 2024 and we can guarantee a great day out with us.

Boats will drive by, but a photo from the boat is only half an experience, we get you inside the cave and get sand on your toes. Our kayaks are quicker than the ones rented at Benagil and as we include transport to and from Lagos, beer and sangria and a picnic lunch it really is a no brainier. The kayak trip is dependent on weather conditions. On the odd occasion, waves at Benagil mean the lifeguards put up either a yellow or red flag and we are not permitted to enter the cave. We will endeavor to inform you if this is the case prior to your booked trip.
