  • Lhasa Gonggar Airport

    We will pick you up at Lhasa airport/railway station and transfer you to the hotel. It takes about 90 minutes from the airport to the hotel and 20 minutes from the train station to the hotel. After arriving at the hotel, you are advised to take a rest to get used to the high altitude. You can stroll around the hotel, but do not tire yourself out.

  • Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si)

    Today’s first attraction is Drepung Monastery which is the world's largest monastery that housed more than 10,000 monks; it was the residence of the Dalai Lama. After lunch, you will continue to visit Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje.

    In the morning, our guide will meet you at the hotel and first take you to visit the famous Potala Palace, the cardinal landmark of Tibet and the masterpiece of Tibetan architecture. It was first built by the 33rd King Songtsen Gangpo in the 7th century and rebuilt later in the 17th century by the 5th Dalai Lama. It is now a museum and a World Heritage site. 
  • Jokhang Temple

    In the afternoon, we will visit Jokhang Temple in the center of Lhasa's old city. Jokhang Temple is one of the most sacred temples in all of Tibet and has always been bustling with earnest local pilgrims since the early days. 
  • Barkhor Street

    You will take a walk around Barkhor Street, which is one of the most devotional routes as well as a crowded central market of Lhasa, located in the old area of Lhasa City Tibet. It is a very old round street around the Jokhang Temple and the locals are always proud of it. As a symbol of Lhasa, it is also a must-see place for visitors.

    You will arrive at Namtso Lake after passing NagelaPass (5150m), which covers a total area of more than 1900 square kilometers and is the second-largest salt lake in China. At an elevation of 4718 meters, it is also the highest salt lake in the world, with the furthest depth being more than 33 meters. In addition, you can enjoy the Qinghai-Tibet Railway view with snowy mountain background; while standing at the famous Nagela Pass, you can see the stunning view of the holy Namtso Lake. In the afternoon, you will make a leisure trek around Tashi Island. Then we will drive back to Lhasa.

If you're taking a train to Tibet from mainland China: You will need a printed copy of the Tibet permit to enter Tibet, so we will send it by email.
If you fly into Tibet from Kathmandu, Nepal: You will not need to have a Chinese visa, but a Tibet Group Visa which applies for the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. When you send the copy of your passport to us, we will help you to get the Tibet Group Visa.
