Wander into a local organic farm and learn to cook authentic Balinese food in a cooking workshop. Experience a different side of the island rarely encountered by tourists. Meet the friendly locals and take a tour of a local market where buying and selling of spices and fresh ingredients start early in the morning.
Enjoy a pick-up from a designated meeting point in the Ubud area and journey to the cooking school. Get a welcome coffee or tea on arrival, and take a tour of the premises. Learn how a Balinese family makes use of the surrounding natural resources, as you harvest some vegetables for your class.
Meet your chef, who will ensure everything runs smoothly throughout your class. Then prepare a traditional Balinese menu (regular or vegetarian) to enjoy at the end of the class.
we first went to the market to shop the ingredients and the guide explained to us all the different types of produce and spices, then we went off to the organic farm and had a chance to pick our veggies. The cooking class is great and the dishes turned out to be so delicious. I would recommend anyone who goes Bali should join this class to gain the awesome experience.
It was a lovely morning. Even though I was the only vegetarian in the group, I never felt excluded and had a lot of attention. The menu is slightly different from the regular one but as delicious
It was a good market tour, organic farm tour and good insight into preparation of Javanese cuisine.
Wonderful! Every staff was funny and engaging. Even with the heavy rain they tried their best to make it a good experience.
