Itinerary

  • Start of Tour (8:30AM)

Embark on a guided tour of Phnom Penh, often referred to as "the hidden pearl of Asia."
  • Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda

Throughout the day, you'll visit significant sites, including the splendid Royal Palace, an exemplar of classical Khmer architecture, the Silver Pagoda with its precious Emerald Buddha, a newly erected statue commemorating the late King Father Sihanouk, and the pagoda at Wat Phnom, along with the Independence Monument.
  • Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

After a break for lunch, your exploration of Phnom Penh continues with a somber visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21). Your knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the historical, political, and social context of the dark period in Khmer history that followed the fall of Phnom Penh in April 1975.

The journey then takes us to Choeung Ek Memorial, one of the notorious Killing Fields, where the Khmer Rouge executed approximately 17,000 of the estimated 2 million Cambodians who lost their lives during the Pol Pot regime.
