Akumal is the “Place of the Turtles” in the Mayan language. We participate as local guides Martín and Melqui, and we will be happy to accompany you to swim with turtles. Akumal Bay is a protected natural area, for this reason we will follow the animal protection regulations. We will snorkel and swim with white and green turtles, colorful fish, coral reef, hopefully rays, squid, and barracudas. We are local guides, we will take care of you all the time and seek to share this beautiful experience in a sustainable and safe way. Our goal is to show visitors how to respect marine life in our Akumal community and at the same time be able to give them an unforgettable experience with sea turtles.
