The classes are focused on traditional Indonesian cuisine using fresh & seasonal local produce, ensuring all dishes are packed with flavor. During the class, you will learn traditional cooking techniques, and the staff will inform you what ingredients you can use as substitutes abroad, to ensure you can prepare the dishes authentically and innovatively back home.
Cooking and food are at the heart of the classes, but you’ll leave with much more than a full stomach. During the class, you can ask our chefs anything you like. They love to share their knowledge of Indonesian culture and local life.
The chefs are from either Lombok mainland or the Gili islands, and are well versed in the local Sasak culture; from marriage traditions and social norms to education and local lifestyles, you’ll get an intimate picture of what it is to be Indonesian.
