Join us on our Local Wildlife Sightseeing Tour on our vessel Maureen, where
you will meet the friendly (but wild) locals of Port Phillip Bay!
Throughout the tour you will watch the playful Australian Fur seals, spot pods
of local Burrunan dolphins cruising the bay, be intrigued by the amazing
birdlife and marine life around Pope’s Eye and through the winter months may
be spot Humpback whales as they journey past this iconic and historically
significant coastline.
Southern Port Phillip Bay is an incredible place. We find the animal's
interests being peaked and the interactions can be amazing!
Animals sightings include-

- Little penguins
- Humpback Whales
- Southern Right Whales

This tour is a 90-minute experience.

10% SURCHARGE ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Please note: There is a $5 environmental levy included as part of the price of
this tour. This levy helps us help our oceans and will be put towards any of
the following programs and research through our partnership charity SOEL
(Southern Ocean Environmental Link):
- Plastic recycling education programs – funding will help us purchase more plastic recycling machinery for use within our recycling programs, facilitate our education sessions for school age children, and go toward community plastic reduction efforts.
- A Port Phillip Bay wide dolphin population study, utilising machine-based learning marine identification camera systems.
- Port Phillip Bay Seal Watch program – mapping the movement trends of Australian Fur Seals within Port Phillip Bay Haul Out sites.
- Marine pest (Northern Pacific Seastar) eradication study utilising machine-based learning identification systems.
- An investigation into the effects of ecotourism experiences on young people’s awareness and attitude toward marine conservation.
- We will also use these funds to invest in an accessibility hoist for Queenscliff Harbour, and in doing so create the first readily available accessibility point for marine tourism within Port Phillip Bay.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL SIGHTSEEING TOURS BOOKED BETWEEN 11th AUGUST and 14th
NOVEMBER WILL BE RUN ON OUR R.I.B. VESSEL BLUE BIRD. If you have any

Important Information:
Meeting Point: Please arrive at our departure point, Queenscliff Harbour,
at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
What to Bring: Please dress for the weather. Ensure you bring along warm
jackets through winter and sun protection (Hat, sunnies, long sleeve shirts)
throughout the summer months. If you own camera equipment or binoculars please
bring them along too! There is limited space onboard Maureen so only bring
along what you need. Bags and other possessions can be stored inside our
office for the duration of the tour.
Weather Updates: In the case of adverse weather conditions that might
affect your tour, we will notify you via email or phone as soon as possible.
Rest assured that your safety and comfort are our top priorities. If you have
any concerns regarding weather please contact us on (03) 5258 3889.
Cancellation Policy: Should you need to modify or cancel your reservation,
kindly inform us at least 48 hours before the scheduled date to receive a full
refund. ALL cancellations need to be provided in writing. Please email
crew@dolphinswims.com.au
Wildlife Encounters: Due to the nature of our tours and working with
wildlife, we cannot guarantee wildlife encounters. We pride ourselves on being
responsible dolphin swim and wildlife sightseeing operator. We prioritize the
well-being and conservation of marine life, and ensure that interactions are
respectful and non-invasive. The marine life you encounter will be there
natural habitat so all encounters are on their terms.
Our expert team of guides and crew members are dedicated to providing you with
a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience. Our primary goal is to ensure
that you witness the beauty of Mud Islands and the magnificent bird life that
call the islands home!
