Are you planning a trip to Brisbane, Australia? Navigating your way from the Brisbane Airport terminals to the city centre has never been easier, thanks to Airtrain.

This reliable and efficient rail service founded by Airtrain Citylink from the airport precinct offers travellers a hassle-free journey, ensuring a smooth transition between the domestic terminals and downtown Brisbane. And with Pelago, booking your Airtrain Brisbane tickets is just a few clicks away, ensuring convenience from start to finish.

How to Access the Airtrain

Upon arriving at Brisbane Airport, accessing the Airtrain is a breeze. Follow the signage within the airport terminals directing you to the Airtrain station. Brisbane Airport has dedicated Airtrain stations conveniently located at both the Domestic and International terminals, making it easy for travellers to find their way.

Domestic Terminal

If arriving into the domestic terminal, follow the below map to the Domestic Station. This will guide you from a domestic arrival, whether it be Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar or Rex from the baggage claim, across the skywalk and into the station. This path has escalators, inclines and elevators for ease of access if travelling with baggage.

International Terminal

If arriving into Brisbane on an international service you will be required to clear immigration, collect any checked luggage and proceed through customs. Once you enter the arrivals hall you will see signage ahead of you, including an Airtrain counter connecting you to the International Station on Level 3. Trolleys are available inside the terminals and you can use these on the way to the Airtrain stations. Trolleys are not able to be taken into the station platforms or trains for safety reasons.

Whether you're arriving on a domestic or international flight, you'll quickly locate the station and begin your journey into the heart of Brisbane. There’s also free wifi at both the Airtrain Domestic and International stations to snap a pic letting your friends and family know you’ve arrived safely.

Airtrain Accessibility

Airtrain’s Airport stations were purposely built by the Queensland government to accommodate passengers needing wheelchair access. Both the Domestic and International Airport stations have lifts provided. All trains are wheelchair accessible and the platforms are level with the train floor. Airtrain staff are on hand to assist boarding.

Onboard you will find train carriages also have fold-away seating to accommodate wheelchairs and all trains from Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast have wheelchair accessible toilets.

Frequency of Departures

One of the many advantages of choosing Airtrain is its frequent departure schedule. Trains depart from Brisbane Airport to the city centre approximately every 15 minutes during peak times, ensuring minimal wait times for passengers. Even during off-peak hours, you can expect trains to run regularly, providing flexibility for travellers with varying arrival times. This frequent service means you can seamlessly integrate your airport transfer into your travel itinerary without worrying about long waits or delays.

Below is the Airtrain Timetable outlining the regular uninterrupted services operating between Brisbane Airport, Brisbane City and the Gold Coast.

First train: Departs the Airport 5:04am (weekdays) and 6:04am (weekends/public holidays)

Last train: Departs the Airport 10:04pm
