Visit the neighbourhood of Plaka, also known as the ‘Neighbourhood of the Gods’ due to its proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites, and visit Cape Sounio, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. Athens is a fascinating town full of well-known highlights and lesser-known surprises, which is also famous for vibrant nightlife and traditional Greek cuisine. Itinerary
Day 1 : ARRIVAL ATHENS

Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to greet you in the Arrivals Hall and the transportation service will transfer you to your hotel at the scheduled time. We recommend you to book an arrival flight that arrives in the morning prior to 12:00 pm to allow you to enjoy the day’s activity. Check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time to freshen up after your flight before the half-day tour of Cape Sounio. You will be collected from your hotel at 13:30 and driven along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza on the way to Cape Sounio. You will have splendid views of the Saronic Gulf and its islands en route. Upon arrival in Cape Sounio, visit the Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments from the Golden Age of Athens. Poseidon was the ancient Greek god of the sea, and his temple dominates the southernmost tip of Attica, where the horizon meets the Aegean Sea. After visiting the impressive temple site, there will be time to explore the rocky cape of Sounio before being transferred back to your hotel at around 19:00. At the indicated time, the transportation service will transfer you to Athens International Airport for your onward or return flight.
