    Make your own way to the meeting point at Avanti's Sunrise Tours Desk, across Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. Start of tour. Arrive at Nijo Castle. Admire the carvings at the Ninomaru Palace. Visit the Kinkakuji Temple. Explore the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Travel to Nara. Visit the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. View the Great Buddha at the Todaji Temple.

    End of tour.
  • Note: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, events, or traffic conditions. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. When closed, Ryoan-Ji Temple will be visited instead. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on public holidays, Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a national holiday), and during Imperial Household events. In such cases, the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine will be visited instead.
