Discover the Spectacular Snaefellsnes Peninsula on this day tour across the part of Iceland that inspired Jules Vernes for his famous novel “Journey to the center of the Earth”.

During this amazing adventure, you will get to see the 4 000 years old Berserkjahraun lava field and listen to your knowledgeable guide to give you some stories about this place. Be amazed by one of the most photographed places of Iceland, Kirkjufell mountain and its waterfall that has been seen in the famous TV series show Game of Thrones.

You will have the opportunity to go to the top of an old volcanic crater and have a panoramic view of the area and the glacier. • Vatnshellir Cave

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
Step into a realm of mystery and wonder as you descend into the depths of Vatnshellir Cave, one of the highlights of your Snæfellsnes journey. Located in the heart of Snæfellsjökull National Park, this extraordinary lava cave was formed over 8,000 years ago during a volcanic eruption. Its winding tunnels and fascinating rock formations transport you into a world that feels like something out of Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth. Explore the stunning colors, unique stalactites, and twisted lava flows while hearing stories about the volcanic forces that shaped Iceland's landscapes. Vatnshellir is a place where time seems to stand still—a glimpse into the Earth's raw power and ancient history. • Londrangar Basalt Cliffs

    25 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Rising dramatically from the ocean, Lóndrangar are two towering basalt sea stacks that have withstood the test of time and tide. Shaped by volcanic forces and relentless waves, these natural sculptures are steeped in folklore, often referred to as the "trolls of Snæfellsnes." As you admire their striking presence against the backdrop of the Atlantic, you’ll feel the power and mystery of Iceland’s untamed coastline. Lóndrangar is a stunning reminder of nature’s artistry and a perfect spot to soak in the rugged beauty of Snæfellsnes
  • Arnarstapi

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
The next stop will be in Arnastapi, a beautiful and charming fishing village. During the time, powerful waves eroded the cliffs and left the stunning rock formations behind that can be seen today. Also, a sculpture of Bárður Snæfellsás, the guardian of the Penninsula, can be found here.
  • Budakirkja

    20 minsAdmission Ticket Free
The church was build in 1703. After the Danish king decided to dismiss the church in 1819, several residents fought for the reclamation and in 1849 they got the allowance to build a new chapel. A woman named Steinunn saved some of the old artefacts and, thanks to her, we can still see them today.
