Itinerary

  • Riva Harbor(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
The Riva started to look the way it does today two centuries ago, when the French, in time of Napoleon ruled these parts through Marshal Marmont. Today this promenade is the cities living room, the most popular and most important public place in Split. In the meantime it has been widened and reconstructed several times, but it was always blessed with the most spectacular set, the south facade of the Diocletian Palace, with the entrance into the Substructures, and later on with the buildings that were built west of the Palace, also the Franciscan monastery with the church of St. Francis, and the Bajamonti Dešković Palace and last but not least the Port Authorities building on the east end
  • Bacvice Beach(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Bacvice is sandy beach, with sand being very soft. It is pleasing to walk on it and enter the sea. Water is shallow even 100 meters away from the coast. That means it's ideal for having fun and playing water sports. Bacvice is place of birth of game called picigin, which is part of UNESCO non-material heritage. The game is played by throwing a small ball to the other players, in shallow water. The ball must not enter the sea, and aim of the game is to keep it up in the air as much as possible. Every year in Split is held Picigin World Cup. Croatian team usually wins.
  • Sustipan(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
The southwest cape of the Split harbour is called Sustipan after a Middle Aged monastery of St. Stephen under the pine trees, which served as the resting ground to the Croatian Kings. At the beginning of the 19th century Sustipan became Split's first cemetery, outside of the city at the time, only to be demolished, regardless of the emotional connection citizen's of Split had for this location and an extraordinary artistic value of the local tombs, by the communist authorities after the opening of the new cities cemetery. The only thing preserved to this day of the entire cemetery is a Classicistic gloriette. Sustipan is turned into a beautiful park, a genuine little green oasis in the immediate vicinity of Marjan and the city, from its reefs that meet the sea a breathtaking view spreads directly towards the deep sea and the islands in front of Split.
  • Marjan Park(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Marjan, the hill that overlooks the city has always been the most impressive part of Split imagery. Such a harmony betwwen natural and urban is rarely found; on one side the densely populated city in all of its glory and on the other a peninsula of almost pristine nature.
  • Kasjuni Beach

    20 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Backing onto the pine-covered foothills of the Marjan peninsula, this scenic pebble and sand stretch has an appealing laid-back atmosphere. Kašuni Beach is an attractive beach destination for swimming and sunbathing. More peaceful and rural in feel than Split’s main Bačvice Beach, it is a good place to enjoy a relaxing day out. Bask in the sun and lounge away an afternoon on its tranquil shores. The strip is comprised of fine pebble and sand and is bordered by wooded sloping hills. Also we stop in front of the beach for swimming.
