Highlights

Start your adventure at the meeting point of Birubi Beach, Anna Bay. You will board off-road vehicles for the short, bouncy ride into this huge shifting sand mass. The dunes stretch 32 kilometres - that’s the entire length of Stockton Beach and can reach over 40-50 metres high, as high as a ten-story building. Once in the dunes, receive a rundown on the custom-designed boards for maximum speed (and safety)! Then you are off. Climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your sandboard, slide on down, then repeat!

It was easy to spot the 4WD R Us vehicle at the Anna Bay carpark. Went during winter season and it was fairly windy. Great weather to do sandboarding without worrying about sweltering heat. Kids may do better with a pair of goggles to protect their eyes from any discomfort caused by the sand. Otherwise, all's good!

It was a great experience! Training before the activity was informative and helpful and after that you can play the sand boarding unlimited number of times within the 2 hour time frame.

Additional information

Operating Hours
What To Bring
A bottle of water
Sunscreen & a hat
Camera
A light jacket (it can get a little windy & cool on the dunes)
We recommend relaxed comfortable clothes. You will be removing shoes to make climbing the sand boarding hill easier. If it's a hot day a pair of socks are handy to bring with to wear.
For kids, swimming goggles are often handy to stop sand from blowing into their eyes. Not a must but if you have them they will come in handy.
