Port Stephens Council in partnership with Port Stephens Koalas Hospital has created a Koala Sanctuary that provides first-class care to sick, injured and orphaned wild koalas. Opened daily, the Koala Sanctuary offers visitors a unique opportunity to see koalas in their natural habitat.

Explore the Sanctuary Story Walk, a meandering 250m pathway offering an immersive educational experience of the koala and its habitat.

it was a great experience!!
Great experience with education boards and stories of how each koala in the sanctuary was found. Excellent facilities surrounded by indigenous floras. Would be better if the place issues entry ticket for memorabilia as the entry cost wasn’t cheap.
