Highlights

This private tour is available to a maximum of 9 people only.

The most important thing about this tour is that you manage the time you have, to spend on the things you want.

The Pinnacles Desert is an amazing landscape which offers a unique backdrop for photography of friends and family or simply a beautiful unique desert location. The Desert Discovery centre also offers geological and indigenous information about the unique landscape and offers Souvenir options.

A number of optional stops either on the way to the Desert or on the return journey add to the day tour, subject to time availability. Not all these are possible in a day so contact me to discuss.

Itinerary

  • Yanchep Lagoon Beach

    15 minsAdmission Ticket Free
**This is generally only a photo stretch and look stop only. A beautiful protected sandy beach and clear blue water makes this a popular local swimming beach. An off shore reef barrier protects and shelters the lagoon and there are public change rooms and showers if you want to plan this as a swimming stop in advance. Bring appropriate swimming gear. goggles and towels if you want to go for a dip in the Indian Ocean before heading up to the Pinnacles later. Optional swim/dive determines other stop durations and inclusions in your day. Potentially consider a 45 minute stop if snorkeling is your thing.
  • Yanchep National Park

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Not Included
**Optional stop. By request only. Entry to the Yanchep National Park is optional and the entry fee of $10 per person not included in the tour price. The Park is home to Kangaroos which roam freely and a small number of Koalas which are in an open viewing enclosure.
  • Two Rocks

    25 minsAdmission Ticket Free
"Imaginatively" named after the two large limestone features off the beach, Two Rocks is a quirky little seaside town with an unusual past that is worth passing through. A giant "King Neptune" statue looks out to sea and is a fun photo stop. There are also a few obscure links to the Pinnacles at the Two Rocks marina which are included in the stop.
  • Lancelin Sand Dunes

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
** Optional stop for those with plenty of energy to burn, the Lancelin Sand Dunes offer a fun opportunity to hire a board and test your sand dune surfing skills! Board Hire is not included in the tour and costs $10 for an hour for one board. Goggles are recommended if its windy as sand blowing in your face can be unpleasant. If you dont want to try the sandboarding, the landscape makes for a great photo stop.
  • The Pinnacles

1 hours 30 minsAdmission Ticket Included
The Pinnacles Desert landscape is a natural gallery of hundreds of randomly shaped and differently coloured & sized "stones" much like a type of Stonehenge. Scientists have varying theories to their origins and you can choose the "Alien" option if you like - but the desert will leave you with more questions than answers. Sandy winding pathways enable vehicle access through the Pinnacles Desert park and there are sidings which allow temporary parking and photography stops to take place. Buses stay in the car park. This tour shows you much more as you drive into the desert. Its common for visitors to take photos of the Pinnacles Desert as a natural background landscape. There is a modern Discovery Centre at the entrance to the Desert. Displays of the wildlife and flora of the Park are also part of the Discovery Centre as well as a souvenir shop.
  • Cervantes

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
The seaside fishing town of Cervantes is a 15 minute drive north of the Pinnacles and is the preferred lunch stop for the day. There are two great restaurants to choose from which both offer the local Lobster on the menu. The Lobster Shack is the busier more well known choice and the Cervantes Bistro also offers a broad menu of seafood, steaks, pasta and drinks. Please advise which you might prefer so tables can be booked prior. Lunch is at your expense.
