From
Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park is one of the most accessible and
photographed waterfalls in Tasmania. Stroll through temperate rainforest, past
mossy glens, and under giant man ferns. This tiered waterfall will take your
breath away.
Tasmania is a natural haven for Australian wildlife and we have species that
don’t exist anywhere else in the world. Get up close and personal with the
notorious Tasmanian Devil, cute wombats, fluffy quolls, possums, wallabies,
and a large variety of birdlife at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Then we step
back in time to the pretty historic village of Richmond. See the oldest
convict-constructed sandstone bridge, browse through antique shops, and call
into the oldest Catholic Church in Australia. Oh, and there’s an old-school
lolly shop for those with a sweet tooth.
It’s obvious that we absolutely love Tasmania…and we’d just love to share this
beautiful island state with you in a comfortable setting! While Hobart is
Australia’s second driest capital city, Tasmania can quite literally
experience four seasons in one day (it is why we love it after all!). As a
result, we recommend that you bring a sunhat, beanie, sunscreen and a
waterproof jacket. Wear layers, preferably quick-drying material. We also
recommend comfortable shoes or boots for walking.(please clean them to prevent
any soil or seed contamination).
