Itinerary

  • Glasgow Central Station(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Hello, traveller! It is time to start your journey because Glasgow has many restless mysteries for you to uncover! And which better way to start your quest other than from Glasgow Central - one of two principal rail terminals in Glasgow, that features an impressive glass roof and a classical Victorian architecture. If you are a dynamic person, that likes to be surrounded by people, then you reached the perfect spot as Glasgow Central is the busiest station from Scotland. Back in the old days, it was a centre of vaults, catacombs and had lots of disused platforms below the station. Wondering what was their purpose? Don’t rush to take the train because we have a challenge for you to complete here! Take a look around you and find the missing clue.
  • The Lighthouse(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Let yourself guided by the light and you will arrive at the Lighthouse of Glasgow. We are not referring to the famous movie with Robert Pattison, but to Scotland's Centre for Design and Architecture, which acts as a beacon for the creative industries in Scotland and promotes design and architecture through a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events. Usually from the top of a lighthouse you can admire the beauty of the sea, but from this version you can gaze uninterruptedly over Glasgow's cityscape, spotting its most beautiful tourist attractions. Somewhere in the Lighthouse is a place that hides a not- very-light secret. Check your surroundings to find it and advance to the next checkpoint!
  • House of Frasers(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Are you in the mood for some shopping? Then you must see the incredible, fashionable House of Frasers, a large UK department store. Starting as a small drapery store in Glasgow, founded by Hugh Fraser and James Arthur in 1849, it grew rapidly into a national chain after a few successful acquisitions. It caters for all tastes, even afterlife tastes! Take a look around you and answer the question to see if there are still ghosts wandering around for a good old shopping therapy!
  • Tron Theatre(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Reaching the middle of your adventure, we hope you did not get frightened so far! You are headed now to the Tron Theatre - a major player in Glasgow’s cultural scene for over twenty years. Initially a simple theatre club, it gave an outstanding performance and has grown into a thriving multi-faceted venue. From producing and presenting an eclectic collection of new writing, reinvigorated dance, comedy and music, the Tron Theatre literally stands on the throne, gaining the sympathy of the Glaswegian hearts! These being said, warm up your voice, prepare your moves and dance through the surroundings of the Tron Theatre, so you can rise to the challenge and advance further!
  • Merchant City(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
It’s mid 1750s, you find yourself in the middle of a square, where residents trade with merchant "tobacco lords", who prospered in shipping and selling, amongst other things, tobacco, sugar and tea. The place has a vibrant vibe and it could be no other than the Merchant City from the eastern part of Glasgow - the historic backbone of the city. Having enjoyed a renaissance in recent years, it is now full of cool bars, restaurants, boutiques and galleries. Nowadays, this area is hosting some of the most colourful festivals, ranging from street arts, dance to comedy and live music. But that’s not all, you must also search for the unspoken truths of Merchant City! Look around you and find the answers!
  • Buchanan Street(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Now let’s make the most out of your visit to Buchanan Street! It is the city's main pedestrian boulevard lined with architectural gems and some of the city's finest shopping. This street was inaugurated in 1777, being named after this place’s owner: the wealthy tobacco lord, Andrew Buchanan. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, he lost his propriety, but it turned out to become one of Glasgow's famous shopping districts with a generally upmarket range of shops, restaurants and street artists that create a lively atmosphere. As you walk across the street, you may come across some surprising facts upon answering the question!
  • City Chambers(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Inaugurated by Queen Victoria in 1888, the focal point of George Square- the City Chambers of Glasgow is one of the city’s most prestigious buildings. Upon entrance, you will be greeted by Queen Victoria herself, in the form of a statue locally known as Glasgow’s own “Statue of Liberty”. Walking up the largest marble staircase in Western Europe, you reach the magnificent Banqueting Hall, where Nelson Mandela received his Freedom of the City award in 1993. Keep walking and you will find more interesting stories. Don’t forget to solve the challenge to reach your final destination!
  • George Square(Pass by)

    Admission Ticket Free
Aye, aye! The final checkpoint is ahead of you : George Square - the most well-loved civic square in Glasgow. Named after King George III, it showcases an important collection of statues and monuments, including those dedicated to famous scots such as Robert Burns, James Watt, Sir Robert Peel and Sir Walter Scott. From a muddy hollow, it turned out to be one of Scotland’s main attractions, a vivid recollection of history waiting to be unlocked by only a true Questo explorer! If you answer the final question, that could be you!
