Our highly stable sea kayaks allow children to safely enjoy the kayaking
experience with an adult paddling right behind them.
Enjoy paddling around Kaikōura's aquatic wonderland at a leisurely pace taking
in the views and enjoying the thrill of getting right up close to New
Zealand's marine life.
Our professionally qualified guides will be right beside you in your
watertight kayaks as your family take snaps of playful New Zealand Fur Seals
with an awesome backdrop of mountain views, craggy rocks and sheer cliff
faces.
We can tailor your trip to suit your specific family needs and your guide will
ensure your kayaking tour around the Kaikōura Peninsula is exceptionally safe,
highly memorable and great fun.
Paddling time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
A short briefing at the start of your tour covers gearing up, learning how to
paddle and steer your kayak and covers our safety
guidelines.
Our recommendation: The morning tour's usually have the calmest sea conditions
and the best interactions with marine life.
The 8.30am or 12:30pm departures are recommended for our family fun tours, we
guarantee your kids will love it!
Children are classed as 12yrs and under, minimum age is 3 yrs

We have just had the most fabulous kayaking experience with guide Brad. We
travelled as a family with children - 3, 6 and 8. We did the early morning
trip out on the water and saw so many dolphins jumping, swimming and playing
next to our kayaks. It was magical. We felt well looked after, clear
instructions and good equipment. All the guides were friendly and supportive.
I would absolutely recommend.

minutes prior to your booking time.**
We recommend you bring the following:
Long sleeved thermal top, Fleece (if a bit chilly), shorts or light pants e.g.
quick drys, NO JEANS! Sunglasses, cap, running shoes or sandals, drinking
water, camera and towel.
We provide the following :
All kayaking gear including dry pants over the winter months also dry bags for
camera's.
