Well worth it for our trip
Redeeming the pass was a breeze. Using the JR pass around the Osaka region was fairly easy as well. However, redeeming the Shinkansen tickets is a bit tricky. But the ticket office staff was really nice in showing me how to redeem it. Highly recommend it!
Very easy to redeem and use. The pass has certainly helped saved a lot as it covers a large area. With this pass, it even allowed the reservation and use of a seat on the Nozomi Shinkansen.
It is the best JR pass I ever bought. Used it for Shinkansen between Shin Osaka and Hiroshima, Kodama Hello Kitty to Okayama and Harukas between Kyoto-Osaka-KIX during the 5days
Good experience
I travelled with 3 kids (young adults and teenager) and my mum. Exchange of pass at KIX with the help of the airport/JR staff was pleasant. To reserve train seats, had to do at any shin stations so we changed at Shin Osaka since it was our first city in Japan. We used the pass for as many rides as we could during the 5 days in Hiroshima and Kyoto. We had to take JR from Shin-osaka station to Hiroshima station. From Hiroshima to Kyoto, took from Hiroshima station to Shin-osaka station, from shin-osaka station to shin kyoto station. From Kyoto to KIX, took Haruka express train. Best to use google map to navigate in Japan. We spent time in navigating and travelling by different types of train, streetcars, buses and trams.
Super! Best experience !
Easy to exchange at the ticket machines and also reserve seats via the machines as well
