Itinerary

  • Hammam Mellegue

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Mellegue bath is a Roman site located 15 kilometers from Kef in Tunisia. Thus, Hammam Mellègue is now one of the most famous spas in Tunisia, which for more than thirty years has been attracting the greed of geologists and scientists around the world due to its Iridium layer which has become a unique reference in the world and which was officially accepted as a STARTOTYPE in 1991. Like most spas in Tunisia, Hammam Mallègue is famous for its therapeutic virtues but above all for the survival of ancient practices and the conservation of its monumental structures. Hammam Mellègue is also famous for its hot spring and its Hammam. Its architecture, its temple and its many swimming pools dating back almost 2 millennia stand with their massive walls and their ocher yellow stone domes like a golden monument in the middle of greenery, seized by a religious silence, disturbed only by the waterfalls of the Mellegue river.
  • Kasbah Of Le Kef

    40 minsAdmission Ticket Included
Climb up to the Ottoman citadel which faces a sumptuous panorama of fields and forests. The Kef's main attraction can be spotted from nearly everywhere around the city. A stronghold of some sort has occupied this site since the 5th century BC. The fortress boasts great views across the rolling blue-green landscape dotted with pine trees. Built in 1600 by the Ottomans, the Citadel of Kef dominates like “a golden crown” the hill of “Djebel Addir” in the Tunisian town of Kef. The Kasbah Citadel is considered a shining jewel in this calm city and has remained standing and unshakeable for four centuries, despite invasions, opening its arms like a guardian angel that protects it from external threats, on the northwest side of the country.
  • Musee Des Arts Et Traditions Populaires

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Included
We leave the Kasbah to a well-laid-out museum, housed in a sprawling, beautifully ornate Sufi complex founded in 1784. The museum concentrates on the culture of the region's Berber nomads, and exhibits include traditional clothing, Berber tents, and farming tools, but the nominal entry fee is worth it for the architecture alone.
  • Le Kef

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
High in the hills, authentic and charming Le Kef is one of Tunisia’s most underrated tourist destinations. The old town offers just part of its proudly multicultural heritage, from the Carthaginian town of Sicca to becoming the provincial capital of Tunisia during WWII. Kef cascades on the mountainside, and the white domes of the Sidi Boumakhlouf mosque watch over the medina. The Walk tour through its alleys and stairs, encountering many vestiges of Antiquity scattered throughout the old city.
  • Musti

    40 minsAdmission Ticket Included
The last stop will be at the archeological site of Musti, the guide will familiarize you with the ruins left by the Romans. Musti was an important city in Roman times. It was located along a Roman road connecting Carthage and Tebessa. Indeed, Mustis was a former metropolis whose rural suburbs covered an area of more than 34 ha. Founded by the Numidian tribes, it was then conquered by the Roman Empire in the 2nd century BC. AD Then, a Roman colony was founded there and the Roman general Gaius Marius established his veterans there. Later, the city was elevated to the status of a municipality by Julius Caesar. Many public structures were built, such as temples dedicated to Pluto, Apollo, and Ceres, Arcs de Triomphe, thermal baths, and villas built for the most prominent citizens. And later even a Christian basilica from the early Middle Ages. The ruins of these buildings stand preserved until today.
