An experience like no other. Soar over waterfalls, through stunning native
forests & be immersed in the rich Māori history of Okere Falls, Rotorua.
Finish it off with a soak in the stunning Manupirua Hot Pools, accessed only
by plane or boat.
Key points:
- Rotorua Ziplines run every day, except Christmas Day
- Trip times 12pm Zipline, 2.30pm Hot pool
- Hot pools leave VR Rotorua (just a 2-minute drive from Rotorua Rafting
base) at 2.30 pm, others on demand.- allow 2.5 hours
- Allow 6 hours, 2 hours Zipline, 2.5 Hours Hot pool.
- We provide all safety gear, you bring comfortable weather-appropriate
clothing and covered footwear and a swimsuit and towel for the hot pools.
- Age limit: 5 years and above. Those under 15 must have an adult accompany
them.
- Weight limit: 130kg
- Child Age: 5 - 12 years,
- Adult Age: 13 and over.
- Senior Age: 65 and above
- All zipliners will need to be able to walk about 400m through the forest on
the boardwalks.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to take those who are pregnant or those with
certain medical conditions. If you have any questions regarding this, please
get in contact.
- Hot pool transfer is subject to minimum numbers.

Get ready for a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. You’ll start by
ziplining over the stunning Kaituna River and waterfalls, then unwind in the
soothing, natural hot pools—a day of unforgettable experiences awaits!
Here’s what you need to know:
- Arrival time: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to check in and get ready for your zipline adventure.
- What to wear: Wear covered footwear and dress for the weather. We’ll provide all the safety gear needed for ziplining.
- Allow 3 hours: This includes ziplining through Rotorua’s beautiful native forest, followed by time to relax at the hot pools.
- Facilities: Free lockers are available for your belongings, and changing rooms are on-site.
Feeling a bit nervous? Kia kaha – be strong! Our guides are seasoned
professionals who love what they do and will make sure you feel confident,
safe, and ready to enjoy every moment of the adventure.
Safety Information: This combo includes adventure activities with
inherent risks. Ziplining involves heights, high speeds, and the ever-changing
weather of our beautiful whenua (land). We follow strict safety protocols, but
risks such as sudden weather changes and slips on platforms are part of the
experience. By joining us, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all
safety instructions provided by our guides.
Important: If you have any medical conditions or weigh over 130kg,
please call us beforehand.
For the Hot Pools:
After your zipline experience, you’ll head to the meeting point for the
Rotoiti Hot Pool shuttle:
- Shuttle Meeting Point: VR Rotorua Lake Resort, 366 State Highway 33, Mourea 3074 (just 5 minutes from our base).
- Shuttle Departure: The hot pool shuttle leaves from the jetty at 2:30 pm, unless otherwise arranged with our team.
- Boat Ride: Enjoy a scenic 20-minute boat ride each way to the secluded hot pools.
- What to bring: Swimwear, towels, and water for hydration.
