— What You Can Expect —

Visit Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre where orphan orangutans are
rehabilitated and taught how to cope in the wild. Next, see adorable sun
bears, the smallest bear in the world, at Bornean Sun Bear Conservation
Center. After lunch, stroll through Sabah in Sandakan Memorial Park and take
in the dark history of WWII.

Clear your mind at Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple as you make your way to the
hilltop and witness the breathtaking panoramic view of Sandakan Bay. See
another religious site at St. Michael's Church, where you can feel the past
seeping through the stone wall. The Church avoided major damage during WWII
and remains one of the very few stone buildings in the whole of Sabah. The
beautiful stained glass windows in the church were donated by Australians to
commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The next stop is Sandakan Central Market, one of the most important seafood
landing ports at Sabah. You can find various fresh seafood such as fish,
crabs, rays, prawns, seashells and see the authentic food life in Sabah!

Learn about life in the colonial days at Agnes Keith Museum and then stop by
the English Tea House and delight in another spectacular view of Sandakan
