    What travellers say

Great experience and best tour guide.

Top marks to the tour agent - Bush & Beach. Peter (guide) and Erin (driver) were professional and instrumental in making the afternoon tour to the rainforest and the black sand beach such a success. Peter was knowledgeable on the history of Auckland and New Zealand and kept us entertained throughout the journey. I did not realize there is so much to learn about the rainforest. Peter seemed to have a story to tell about a tree or bush every 10 meters apart. It was interesting. No pests in New Zealand! Piha Beach was something special. Nice soft black sand and strong winds from the ocean. Again, Peter gave good tips on what not to do - walk with back facing the waves or walk barefoot on the sand (there is metal in the black sand so the sand can get really hot). Erin and Peter played tea party hosts and served us coffee/tea and biscuits with Manuka honey! Nice touch. Logistics arrangements were perfectly done. I highly recommend this tour AND this tour agent for Auckland. Thank you so much, Bush & Beach!

Bush & Beach is a very good tour agent. Kelly (tour guide) ran a one-man show on this Hobbiton and Waitomo Cave tour. He was very professional, knowledgeable about Auckland and New Zealand, and so entertaining throughout the journey. He had to guide and drive at the same time. That was hard work. I really appreciate that he could keep himself awake and alert in the hot afternoon sun and drove carefully while the rest of us took a nap in the air-conditioned bus! Thank you, Kelly! The Hobbiton tour was exactly what it was – touristy and fun. We had a different guide at the Hobbiton film set – Kingston. He was funny. It was nice to be at the location where the Lord of the Rings was filmed. We were told that 3000 tourists visit the site every day! A must-do in New Zealand. We took a tour package with lunch. The lunch buffet under the marquee was really delicious. Compliments to the chef(s)! The Waitomo Cave was nice inside, with the glow-worms lighting up the dark, dark cave. The slow boat ride added a magical touch. But I had trouble understanding the Maori guide telling his stories. No, he was speaking English; I just had a problem understanding his accent. Logistics arrangements were perfectly done. I highly recommend this tour AND this tour agent for Auckland. Thank you so much, Bush & Beach!
