What to bring:
You'll be venturing into the bush so please dress to the conditions. Bring a
water bottle and sunscreen.
Wear sturdy walking shoes, warm clothes and bring a waterproof jacket.
Additional information
To ensure this is the best possible experience please remember:
- We ask everyone to conduct a biosecurity check of their bags before entering the sanctuary to ensure that Zealandia stays free from predators and invasive species. Please follow your guide’s instructions.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time. On arrival, check in at the Zealandia Visitor Centre.
- This is a 2-hour guided outdoor walk , and tours commence in all weather conditions. We recommend that all visitors are suitably dressed for an outdoor bush walk. A waterproof jacket, plus additional warm layers, are a good option.
- Sturdy footwear is essential as the ground is rough and uneven in places.
- Please inform the Tours Team in advance about any health or accessibility needs within your group. Contact: tours@visitzealandia.com.
- Smoking or vaping is not permitted at any time within Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne or the Visitor Centre.
