Start with the View

Start your day meeting your friendly guide in the Queenstown Town Centre. From
here we start our sightseeing with a short drive to the top of Queenstown
Hill, where we take in the iconic viewpoint showing off the town and famous
backdrop.

Explore Historic Arrowtown

Enjoy the scenic drive out past the famous Shotover River, where we watch jet
boats speed through canyons, before passing under Coronet Peak ski field on
the drive to Arrowtown. In Arrowtown, we allow you free time to explore this
adorable mining village. Join our guide for gold panning, or take one of our
maps and explore on your own, visiting the famous Arrowtown Bakery, and local
gift stores, or stock up on treats from the Remarkable Sweet Shop.

Bungy Jumps & Pinot Noir

From here we continue our journey to the Gibbston wine region, a stretch of
road lined with vines and home to world-famous Pinot Noir. Our first stop
takes us on a thrilling turn, visiting the Kawarau Bungy Bridge, the home of
Bungy jumping and a great spot to watch the fearless (or jump, if you are
brave enough!), before visiting The Church for a wine tasting and shared
cheese board.

Finish with a Cruise

The journey doesn't finish there. After heading back toward Queenstown, we
meet a boat charter in the Frankton Marina, which will take you on a guided
25-minute lake cruise on Lake Whakatipu showing you the sights from the water
before dropping you off back in Queenstown Bay in the Queenstown Town Centre.

Experience the Unforgettable

Additional information

Good to know

Thank you so much for choosing Altitude Tours for your upcoming adventure on
our Best of Queenstown experience! We're thrilled to be your hosts and can't
wait to explore the local gems of this awesome place together.

Pick Up Location:

Meet us in the heart of Queenstown town centre, outside the Station Building.
Look out for our friendly guide in a Mercedes van by the bus stop at 43 Camp
Street, right by the bench seats outside the Marmolada Cafe. Aim to get there
10 minutes before the departure time, and that way we can head off on tour
without any delay.

Wine Tasting and Cheese Board:

Get ready to tantalise your taste buds with a delightful wine tasting and
cheese board experience during the tour. Don't worry, we've got non-alcoholic
options for children, or those who don’t drink. If you have any dietary
preferences for the cheese board, let us know, and we'll whip up some
fantastic alternatives for you.

Photo ID:

Are you under 25 years old, or have a great skincare regime that gives you a
youthful glow? A cellar door may ask you to show that you are at least 18
years old. Please bring either your passport or a NZ driver’s license, just
in case they want to see it (and take it as a compliment if they do).

Stay Hydrated and Eco-Friendly:

We're all about keeping things green! Please bring a trusty water bottle with
you, as we've taken the eco-conscious step of ditching single-use plastic. If
you don't have one, fear not – reusable water bottles are available for
purchase during the tour.

Weather Consideration:

Should This tour operates in all weather conditions unless road closures occur
due to heavy snowfall or other servere weather events. Please note that in the
case of high winds, the boat portion may be cancelled. If this happens, you
will receive complimentary entrance to the Queenstown Time Tripper experience
once the tour has concluded.

Should you have any questions or just fancy a pre-tour chat, feel free to
reach out to us at +6434414788 or drop us an email at
info@altitudetours.co.nz.

We can't wait to share the wonders of Queenstown with you.
