Koh Klang, an isolated island in the middle of the Krabi river. This small and charming village and its unique community base plays host to sustainable tourism. The predominantly Muslim community of Koh Klang still live a laidback lifestyle of a countryside fisherman village. The only way to get around this low-carbon village is by bicycle or the local Saleng, a three-wheel motor rickshaw. For this immersion trip, your day begins with an early morning hotel pick up and quick stop at the local coffee roasters to sample some of Krabi famous volcanic coffee before heading to Krabi pier.
On a traditional long tail boat, you'll sail past a mangrove forest to Koh Klang. Explore the lsland on a local Saleng. Visit the community rice field, learn the art of batik painting, and see how Krabi’s famous long tail boat are made. Then enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh seafood and local Thai dishes at Hassan Farm; the restaurant floats on top of the fish coop, so your seafood can’t be any fresher! After lunch, visit the prehistoric Khao Kanap Nam cave (the symbol of the Krabi province) before making our way back to Krabi town.
