Picture shows a van but in reality it was a very small car, we even had to put our luggage on the passenger seat at the front. Very weird, do not recommend. You could get a Grab SUV or Grab Premium and have a more comfortable ride.
This has been by far my worst experience booking transport services in Thailand. The $10 discount is absolutely not worth the chaos, confusion, and frustration I had to endure to get my limo ride. The process was anything but seamless from start to finish. First, the booking process itself was flawed. The online form didn’t ask for any crucial details, like the time of arrival or any other relevant information. After submitting the form, I was contacted via WhatsApp by a polite, efficient agent using a Chinese mobile number, which seemed like an odd way to communicate. Upon arrival, things got worse. Finding my name in the designated area was a complete mess. There were thousands of names scribbled on loose papers, mixed in with those of countless other operators. Finding the Pelago sign was like searching for a needle in a haystack. When I finally spotted it and approached a staff member sitting on the floor, she rudely told me to go further down. I continued my search and found another Pelago signboard tucked behind others. At this point, I spoke with another set of staff members who could not locate my reservation, despite me showing them the booking ID, QR code, and other details. They made a few phone calls, but were still clueless. I reached out to the Chinese contact again, and they assured me someone should be there. After another 5-minute search through the hundreds of names, I still found no one. I told the agent I hadn’t been helped, and they told me to just wait. After 35 minutes of this nonsense, I finally gave up and booked an AOT Airport limo service. It was quick and simple, and I had a ride within minutes. Additionally, I contacted Pelago through the app to explain the situation, but they told me my reservation could not be cancelled. They said they would look into it and try to find a solution. In the end, it looks like I lost SGD 25 and had a lot of unnecessary hassle. I can’t understand why anyone would choose Pelago. The process was a huge hassle for a minimal savings of just $10. Time is much more valuable than that. I would strongly recommend avoiding this service.
