Golden Gate Bridge

About Golden Gate Bridge
Average of
4.7 for all activities in Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is an iconic symbol of San Francisco, stretching 1.7 miles across the Golden Gate Strait, the entrance to San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. Completed in 1937, this engineering marvel was once the longest and tallest suspension bridge in the world. Its striking International Orange color not only enhances its visibility in fog but also adds to its aesthetic appeal against the backdrop of the bay and the city skyline. The bridge is a popular spot for photography, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the Marin Headlands and Alcatraz Island. Visitors can walk or bike across the bridge, experiencing the fresh ocean breeze and the sound of waves crashing below. The Golden Gate Bridge is also a hub for various events and activities, including the annual Bridge to Bridge Run. The nearby Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center provides informative exhibits about the bridge's history and construction. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it attracts millions of tourists each year, making it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to San Francisco. The bridge's unique Art Deco design and engineering feats continue to inspire architects and engineers around the world.

What travellers say

Got ticket at better price from Pelago. I would recommend to buy tkt till summit as the final climb thru stairs is steep. Better to buy full package, mono rail from Sun plaza, then Cable car to Fansipan and finally funnicular to the summit. I think it's a must visit when in Sapa.

Very easy to use and fuss free. I would suggest those who purchase to keep a soft copy/screenshot of the QR code because if there's no internet, cannot open Pelago app. Pelago will also send the softcopy via WhatsApp so just save it from there to your gallery or phone for easy reference. Other than that, no issues with the QR.

Seamless & convenient as only the QR code (on Pelago issued voucher) needs to be scanned in at point of entry at building - which is way better than having to quene for the tickets separately. Noted also it was cheaper as compared to buying the tickets at retail price (1200 BHT) at the building itself, great promo with drink packaged in, which came handy as bags more than 25 cm had to be stored in lockers at entrance due to observatory restrictions.
