Dubai Water Canal is an artificial canal unveiled on 2 October 2013 and inaugurated on 9 November 2016. The canalside walk comprises one shopping centre, four hotels, 450 restaurants, luxury housing, walkways and cycle paths. It is a three-kilometer long project starting from Business Bay into the Persian Gulf through Safa Park and Jumeirah. Burj Khalifa is the centrepiece of Downtown Dubai. At 828 m (2,717 ft), it is the tallest building in the world and the tallest man-made structure ever built. Construction began on 21 September 2004, and was completed and ready for occupancy by 4 January 2010. Burj Khalifa is estimated to have cost US$1.5 billion. In addition to being the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa holds six other world records, including "tallest free-standing structure in the world", "elevator with the longest running distance in the world and highest number of storeys in the world".

The interior of the Burj Al Arab is decorated with around 1,790 square meters of 24-carat gold leaf. With that, you could cover 46,265 Mona Lisa paintings! Constructing Dubai’s Palm Islands required 94 million cubic meters of sand. The Empire State Building is only 37 million cubic meters. In fact, the amount of rock and sand used here could form a 2 meter wide (6.5 feet) wall that would circle the globe three times!
