Jeju Sangumburi Crater is a parasitic volcanic crater of Hallasan Mountain. It is the only submerged volcano in Jeju Island. From ancient times, a legend has been passed down that if the mountain god of this Oreum gets angry, the crater area will be enveloped in fog and thunderstorms and heavy rain will pour down. Baekyakyi Oreum is located about 3.5 km northeast of the entrance of Seongeup 2-ri, Pyoseon-myeon. It is an oreum located on the border with Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup, and it is called Baekyak-i Oreum (百藥岳) because many medicinal herbs have grown wild since ancient times.
