Itinerary

  • Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Included
Our first destination is the very famous rock formation of Hin Ta & Hin Yai (Grandfather and Grandmother), located at the idyllic emerald Sea. Ask our guide about the local mythology of this extraordinary rock formation.
  • Wat Khunaram (Mummified Monk)

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
After a short drive you will arrive at the mummified monk temple, another amazing and unique attraction of the Koh Samui. This place too has an original story to tell.
  • Laem Sor Pagoda

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Next your tour will take you to a quiet beach at the southernmost tip of Koh Samui, to visit Laem Sor Pagoda, situated at the edge of the sea. Its golden pagoda makes for a particularly stunning contrast with the blue waters of the ocean, a unique photo opportunity. About a hundred meters away from the pagoda you will find a shrine for local fishermen. People come here to pray and if their wishes come true, they buy a small model boat to add to the shrine. This temple complex also features a hilltop viewpoint with stunning views of the surrounding area and the surrounding the islands South of Koh Samui, such as Koh Taen and Koh Mudsum.
  • Magic Alambic Rum Distillery

    45 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Next, we will Visit Samui’s Magic Alambic Rum Distillery. Where we will learn about rum production on Koh Samui, based on a sustainable approach respectful of people and the environment. You will be delighted by the diversity of Thai Rums. Take part in the rum tasting and if in production that day, get to witness the production process.
  • Wat Teepangkorn

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
We then start our off-road part of the tour, taking you to some of Samui's most scenic mountain peaks, surrounded by tropical Asian jungle to see parts of rural Samui. Around noon we will stop for lunch, for you to enjoy some delicious Thai food at a mountain-top restaurant with views overlooking Samui's surrounding islands. After lunch, we will stop at Wat Teepangkorn, Samui's Big Buddha on the mountain, not to be confused with the one next to the sea. Here you'll be able to see a different kind of Buddhist temple, the centrepiece of which is its standing Buddha statue. You will be surprised by the natural beauty and serenity of this remote temple, which also serves as a meditation center for Samui`s Buddhist monks. You will stop at several viewpoints for photo opportunities offering panoramic 360° views of Ko Samui and its neighboring islands, as well as the mainland and the highest peak on Samui, Yaod Khao.
  • Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
We will stop at Big Buddha, or Wat Phra Yai, located on a small rocky islet connected to Ko Samui by a long, dirt causeway.
  • Wat Plai Laem

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Our last destination is a remarkable temple, Wat Plai Laem. The temple main statue is of Guanyin, the goddess of compassion and mercy. Designed in the Chinese style, the striking figure sits on a platform surrounded by the temple lake and features 18 arms that fan out from the seated statue’s lap to above her elegant head. The temple is surrounded by a lake, which is teeming with fish. Visitors who make a small donation to the temple are given a bag of food to feed the fish.
