Kim Lim: The Space Between. A Retrospective
The very first major museum survey of Singapore-born artist Kim Lim (b. 1936 - d. 1997), this exhibition celebrates the life and work of a trailblazing Asian woman artist who had achieved significant recognition in the UK. Through key sculptures and prints across four decades, never-before-seen photographs and archival materials, look forward to a groundbreaking showcase of Kim Lim’s importance to the art history of modern sculpture and printmaking.

Teo Eng Seng: We're Happy. Are You Happy?
Celebrates the ever-evolving artistic life of inventive and prolific Singaporean artist Teo Eng Seng (b. 1938, Singapore). Teo is best known for his experimentation with various mediums and his very own invention of "paperdyesculp", dyed papier-mâché sometimes mixed with other ingredients like fabric and fibre glass. Through his devotion to the centuries-old Asian medium of pulp and paper, Teo explores the boundless possibilities of material and process in his creative practice. Beyond his dynamic body of work, Teo is also a prominent and respected advocate of the local arts scene. In recognition of his contributions to visual arts and art education, Teo received the Cultural Medallion in 1986.

The gallery was fantastic - I spent about 4 hours exploring but could easily have stayed longer. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The Liu kuo-sung exhibit was a real highlight and Tropicalia was a worthwhile addition. Don’t miss the rooftop gardens too, you’ll get a great view of the city.
