The first full-scale retrospective of Ieoh Ming Pei (1917–2019), ’I. M. Pei:
Life is Architecture’ properly appraises for the first time the work of one of
the greatest architects of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
- Guo Pei: Fashioning Imagination (Opens on 21 Sep)
Working with Guo Pei and her studio, the exhibition presents a selection of
garments shown to audiences in the region for the first time, creating a
layered dialogue with the M+ Collections around visual imagination and

- ‘Shanshui: Echoes and Signals’
Works drawn from the M+ Collections that explores the complex connections
between landscape and humanity in our post-industrial and increasingly virtual
world
- Henry Steiner: The Art of Graphic Communication (Opens on 15 June 2024)
Featuring the work of the father of graphic design in Hong Kong, the
exhibition celebrates Henry Steiner's (b. 1934) influential graphic language
with a selection of some of his most iconic projects tracing the city’s
development from the 1960s onwards.
- Movana Chen: Knitting Conversations
A monumental installation by Hong Kong artist Movana Chen (b. 1974) reflecting
on female labour, personal and shared memories, material transformation, and
time. Originally conceived as a participatory work, Knitting Conversations was
first exhibited in 2013 where audience members were invited to contribute to
the work by bringing along a treasured book.
- 'M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story'
examining the contemporary Chinese art styles and practices from the 1990s to
the present with a visual approach

- Tickets will be sent to your given email and/or phone number within three days prior to your selected visit date. Direct admission is available. (Example: If your selected visit date is February 10, tickets will be sent to your KKday account between February 7 and February 9).
- Please note that backpacks and suitcases are not allowed in the galleries. You can check bulky items at the charged cloakroom on B1 or use the charged lockers available on B1 and G.
- Baby strollers and wheelchairs are welcome and can be borrowed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- For any assistance, feel free to approach M+ staff located throughout the building or at the Ground Floor Information Desk.
- Photography is permitted at M+, but please remember to turn off your flash. Filming is allowed only in designated areas. Kindly check gallery signs or consult M+ staff before capturing videos.
- Please be respectful to other visitors and M+ staff.
- Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not allowed.
- To ensure the preservation of our collection, food, and drink are not permitted inside the galleries.
- We kindly request your cooperation in preserving the artworks on display by refraining from touching them.
- Visitors accompanied by trained service animals are welcome, but pets and other animals are not allowed in M+.

Would highly recommend to visit this museum - accessible, and well thought out curation and exhibits with interactive elements. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. You would need at least 4 hours if you want to visit all the exhibits including the special exhibit.
