Highlights

Munich is a city with a rich history of sport, and there are numerous stories, anecdotes and details that deserve to be mentioned.
Sport Tour through Munich's Stadiums and Arenas.

Itinerary

  • Gruenwalder Stadion

    30 minsAdmission Ticket Free
You will see the stadium from the outside. FC Bayern München won in this stadium two German national championships before moving to the Olympic stadium. TSV 1860 München and Fc Bazern München shared both stadiums and even the third one, the Allianz ARena, however the TSV always returned to the Gruenwalder Stadion and plays there though not continiously for nearly 100 years.
  • Olympiapark

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
You will see the stadium from the inside, if it isn't closed because of a concert or another active. In the Olympic Stadium national, European and world championships were won. But the 1972 Olympic peace games were terrorised.
  • Allianz Arena

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
You will se the stadium from the inside, with a guided tour there and a visit to the Bayern Munich museum, if the stadium isn't closed for visits due to a game day or another reason. Because the game days are published a month before, it might happen that the visit inside can't take place on specific date. The Allianz Arena is today the home of FC Bayern München. When this so called and nicknamed "rubber boat" is illuminated you can see it from the Austrian alps that are 75 kilometers away.
  • Säbener Straße

    45 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Kurt Landauer, the Jewish president of the FC Bayern München until 1933 and from 1945 for a second term, managed to get the ground from the US military and today it's the training compound of the German Bundesliga top team. You will see the training compound from the outside and if possible, but that can't be guaranteed from the inside, if there is at the specific a public training.
